Private reports

Warcraft Logs has three visibilities. Public and unlisted reports open on Raid Ledger as they are. A private report is only visible to the accounts its uploader allowed, and the site respects that exactly: it never makes a private report more public than it is on Warcraft Logs.

Connect your account#

1. Sign in to RaidKit, or create an account — a Warcraft Logs sign-in works too.
2. Open Settings → Connections and choose Connect Warcraft Logs.
3. Warcraft Logs asks you to allow RaidKit to read your reports. Allow it; you land back on the connections page with your Warcraft Logs name shown.

From then on a private report you can see on Warcraft Logs opens here when you are signed in. The page tells you when a report needs the connection: opening a private one signed out, or with an account that has none, shows Connect Warcraft Logs instead of the audit.

What the site stores#

• The token Warcraft Logs issues, sealed with the site's key so a database read alone cannot use it, and the date it expires. Warcraft Logs' tokens last a year; the connections page shows the date and offers Reconnect when one has lapsed. A nightly check verifies every connection and marks the ones that stopped working.
• The report itself, cached like a public one — but only ever served to a token Warcraft Logs accepts for it. Two people in the same raid each open it with their own connection; a third person with no rights gets the same "connect" screen as a stranger.
• Recent reports on /ledger are per account: the ones you opened, private included, never anyone else's.

Nothing else from your Warcraft Logs account is read — not your characters, not other people's reports.

Reports that change#

A public report that its uploader later unlists or deletes stops being served here the next time the cache re-checks it. A report nobody has opened in ninety days is deleted from the cache by a nightly sweep and comes back from Warcraft Logs on the next open, so nothing is kept longer than it is used — the privacy page says the same.

Sharing an audit of a private report#

The audit link works for anyone whose own Warcraft Logs account can see the report; for anyone else it is the connect screen. To share the result more widely, use Copy for Discord: that pastes the table as text, which is your choice to publish rather than the site's.
