Getting started

Install Gargul Persistence Bonus beside Gargul, set up the team, and run the first import before raid.

Updated Sep 14, 2026

Gargul Persistence Bonus (GPB) is the loot master's companion to Gargul: a raider who shows up with a soft-reserve and does not win it banks a bonus toward that item, week after week, until it drops for them. GPB keeps the ledger, applies the bonus in Gargul's rolls, and can post the night's digest to Discord.

Before the first raid#

  1. Install Gargul v7.7.33 or newer on the master looter's client. GPB declares it as a hard dependency and will not load without it.
  2. Install GPB: drop the Gargul_Persistence folder into Interface\AddOns\ so the .toc sits directly inside it. The full steps, and what the zip contains, are on the tool page.
  3. Set up the team — the roster GPB tracks bonuses for — before the first soft-reserve import. The walkthrough is Set up your team before the first import.
  4. Type /pb help in game. If the command list prints, the addon is loaded and talking to Gargul.

Raid night, in order#

  1. Import the soft-reserves into Gargul as usual.
  2. Play the night. GPB watches Gargul's awards.
  3. After the last boss, /pb addraid grants the night's bonus to every soft-reserve that did not fill. /pb undo reverts the last change if a click went wrong (up to twenty steps).
  4. /pb status shows every stored bonus on the team; /pb player Name one raider; /pb item 32837 one item.

The rest of the commands — /pb ui for the roster window, /pb log for the audit trail — are listed with their meaning under Commands.

The Discord digest#

The optional pipeline posts a digest of the night's changes to a Discord webhook and a Google Sheet, from a PowerShell script on the loot master's machine. It is not needed for the addon to work; set it up when the team wants to see the ledger outside the game. Set up the Discord digest and Google Sheet walks through it.

Things worth knowing first#

  • Pugging on a tracked character: GPB asks whether to track the night, so a pug run does not pollute the team's ledger.
  • A new raid phase resets nothing by itself; Moving to a new raid phase says what to carry over.
  • Handing loot to another officer means handing the ledger too — the export and import are under the same guide.
